Go and Tell

Read Ezekiel 1:1 through 3:66

There are many lost and hurting people out in the world today. It is our job as Christians to share the good news of forgiveness with them. We cannot and should not force it on anyone, but endeavor to share it in love. It is not our job to save people. Only God can do that. Only He can take someone’s life and desires and change them.

The Bible says that when a person is “born again,” of God’s Spirit, he or she is a new creation and old things have passed away (2 Corinthians 5:17). It is a wonderful thing to have a brand-new chance in life.

“Go now to your countrymen in exile and speak to them. Say to them, ‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says,’ whether they listen or fail to listen” (Ezekiel 3:11).

If we tell people about Jesus Christ and what He has done in our lives, and they refuse to listen and do not accept God’s gracious gift of salvation, that is their choice. However, we must be faithful to go and tell, and be an example to others. Only He can save, but He has allowed us to be part of His plan to draw as many as will come.

PRAYER SUGGESTION:

Ask the Lord to give you a compassion for souls and the boldness to tell others about Christ.
