Read Luke 7:1 through 9:50
Imagine how the disciples felt as they were sailing across the Sea of Galilee when waves from a storm started coming into their boat. They looked over and saw Jesus sleeping in the midst of a storm. Fearful of drowning and needing help, they woke Jesus up. Jesus rebuked the storm and brought peace to a troubled situation. Jesus then asked his disciples, “Where is your faith?” (Luke 8:25).
They had the Creator of the universe, the One who made the seas, in their boat—and yet they had no faith! We, like the disciples, must learn to have faith during every situation and realize that Christ is in our boat even in times of troubles, trials, and tribulations. Faith in God will cause your boat to float and give no room for fear to appear. Faith is demonstrated when you put actions to your beliefs and look to God for intervention. Faith in God is simply the application of God’s Word to our present situation. Have faith because God is in your boat, and you are not alone. Let your faith be seen as you walk in the authority of God’s Word to overcome every problem and situation in your life.
PRAYER SUGGESTION:
Lord, help me to please you by walking by faith during every problem that comes my way.
