Read Mark 1:1 through 3:35
Charley, a CEO of a major corporation, was successful in everything she did. The company was growing, stocks were up, and things in life couldn’t be better. However, in the midst of all her accomplishments, she was still unfulfilled. One day while in the park reflecting on her dilemma, she heard music in the distance and followed it to a nearby church. It was that day Charley chose to follow Christ and fill the void within.
“Come, follow me,” Jesus said, “and I will send you out to fish for people.” At once they left their nets and followed him (Mark 1:17–18).
Andrew and Peter heard the call of Christ and immediately left everything. Many Christians remember the day they chose to follow Christ and the excitement they felt when they received His peace and forgiveness. All Christians should give Jesus total devotion because He deserves it.
To follow Christ, you must do what He did and reach out to those who are hurting, lost, discouraged, sick, depressed, and possessed. Reach out with the love of Christ and bring the lost home.
PRAYER SUGGESTION: Lord, help me remember the day You changed my life.
