Read 1 Chronicles 10:1 through 12:40
Christine began a family scrapbook when her children were little. She used fancy scissors to crop the pictures and decorative stickers to embellish the pages. Writing carefully with an acid-free pen, she told some of the funny stories that went along with her photos. After several years of scrapbooking, she had a lovely record of her family’s events and history.
We see many “snapshots” of little-known people in the Scriptures:
Benaiah son of Jehoiada was a valiant fighter…who went down into a pit on a snowy day and killed a lion. And he struck down an Egyptian who was seven and a half feet tall (1 Chronicles 11:22,23).
Here was a man who was not afraid to face a lion or a giant. No wonder King David put him in charge of his bodyguards!
When you or your family has a spiritual victory, record it. Write it down in a special scrapbook. Take a photo of an item that was a specific answer to prayer. Years later you will be able to remember how God answered prayer in so many personal ways.
CHALLENGE FOR TODAY: List three special answers to prayer you have had in the past few months.
