Every Word Fulfilled

Read Ezekiel 12:1 through 14:23

As Elaine held her new baby girl, she wondered what kind of life this child would have. Would she be a mom too? And would she be a doctor, a missionary, a teacher, or some other fine professional? Most importantly, Elaine realized the incredible responsibility she had to model Christ in front of her daughter so that one day she too might serve the Lord. She asked the Lord to help her be the mom, the wife, and the example her baby would need.

In today’s reading, God assured Ezekiel that every word He had spoken to him would be fulfilled.

This is what the Sovereign Lord says: None of my words will be delayed any longer; whatever I say will be fulfilled, declares the Sovereign Lord (Ezekiel 12:28)

God’s message through Ezekiel involved His judgment on sin. God’s message to the Church today involves His promises of power, peace, and presence. The Bible lets all believers know that no matter what they face, God will be with them and will fulfill every promise He has made to them.
