Read Joshua 9:1 through 10:43
Marvin, a new Christian, stood by the door of the city mission hoping for the arrival of several old friends who took drugs with him until the day he accepted Christ. Marvin thought it would be impossible to get them to attend a service at the mission. But Lucas, a mission worker who was discipling him, encouraged him to make his prayers big enough to receive God’s largest answer.
As Marvin repeated his prayer once more, all four entered the mission. His prayer was over, but his life of faith had just begun.
Joshua said to the Lord in the presence of Israel: “O sun, stand still over Gibeon, O moon, over the Valley of Aijalon.” So the sun stood still, and the moon stopped, till the nation avenged itself on its enemies (Joshua 10:12,13).
God often makes our prayers an integral part of His plan. As believers get to know God and His will, they discover what He desires to do around them. Based on this
knowledge, they ask Him to do even the impossible for themselves and others.
Prayer Suggestion : Father, help me to believe You do the impossible!
