Read Psalms 87:1 through 92:15
Every person on the earth has struggles, but the Christian’s battle can be attributed to far more than worldly cares. The powers of darkness aim to diminish God’s light by attacking God’s people when they’re most vulnerable. Thankfully, a solution is stated repeatedly in the Bible.
It is good to praise the Lord and make music to your name, O Most High, proclaiming your love in the morning and your faithfulness at night (Psalm 92:1–2).
Praising God is an excellent way to do as the apostle James recommended, “Resist the devil, and he will flee from you” (James 4:7). Yes, singing praise to the Lord will send the devil sprinting for cover. Even those who feel musically “challenged” can still spark an enemy retreat by thanking God aloud for His blessings.
While it may take a few minutes to overcome the darkness, praising God will win awe-inspiring victories and encourage ever-increasing praise.
Prayer Suggestion:
Lord, remind me to praise You always, so the powers of darkness can never diminish the light You’ve placed in me.
