Jonathan prepared his son Evan to properly take care of a car. He taught Evan how to maintain and repair a car by having his son work alongside him on cars. Jonathan stressed having the right tools and good technical manuals.
God has given Christians a manual to help them serve Him.
All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness (2 Timothy 3:16).
The inspiration of the Bible involves much more than simply a doctrinal statement. It means that God breathed life into the Word—life that transforms the hearts of those who read and follow its instructions. The Bible teaches truth and provides answers needed to expose falsehoods and provide correction to those who stray from its guidelines.
Christians should learn how to use the Bible. This involves studying it and allowing its message to direct their thoughts and actions.
