Seek and Find

Read  Matthew 18:1 through 20:34

Sara visited the halfway house every week to share with the women who had been released from prison. Linda, the director, asked: “What motivates you? You visit my residents more than anyone else, and you’ve got the longest drive.”

Sara explained, “Jesus came all the way from heaven to seek and find lost ‘sheep.’ I’m happy to drive twenty miles to do the same.”

Linda laughed and said, “Maybe you can rescue me too.”

Sara replied, “It’s a deal.”

“What do you think? If a man owns a hundred sheep, and one of them wanders away, will he not leave the ninety-nine on the hills and go to look for the one that wandered off?” (Matthew 18:12).

Do you want to get close to Jesus? You’ll find Him out seeking people who have wandered away from God. As you volunteer to join Him in looking for the lost, not only will you help draw people back to God—you’ll feel renewed in your own relationship with Him as well.

PRAYER SUGGESTION: Jesus, I want to help You seek and rescue lost sinners.
