Read Nehemiah 5:1 through 7:73
Have you ever faced a problem that seemed too big to handle?
Perhaps you lost your job and weren’t able to get another one. Maybe you’ve faced a serious illness, such as cancer, that seemed impossible to overcome. Perhaps you’ve had to watch as loved ones walked so far away from the Lord that you feared they would become too hardened for the Holy Spirit to reach. Maybe you’re so discouraged about the moral state of the world that you can’t envision revival or people turning to the Lord.
But as the Israelites could attest, no problem is too big for God.
When all our enemies heard about this, all the surrounding nations were afraid and lost their self-confidence, because they realized that this work had been done with the help of our God (Nehemiah 6:16).
When you cry out, “Lord, this can’t be done,” that’s often when God seems to reply, “There are no earthly solutions for this, so step aside and let Me work!”
Thought for Today:
The bigger the problem, the more spectacularly God’s solution shines!
