Read 2 Chronicles 7:1 through 9:31
We are in trouble. Not only does the Church feel it, but our world does too. Wickedness runs rampant. Terrorists push their own agendas. Heartbreaking reports have become the mainstay of every news channel. Stories of hate, violence, and greed seem commonplace.
Theaters, shopping malls, even our schools are no longer exempt from violence. Killers aim their guns at anyone, including precious children. Our land is sick, physically and spiritually. Are we past the point of no return?
“If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land” (2 Chronicles 7:14).
The verse above speaks to God’s people—those who believe in Him. Just as with the people of Judah, our remedy is a spiritual one. Can we humble ourselves and seek His face before it’s too late?
PRAYER SUGGESTION: Pray for revival, for only God’s forgiveness and healing can save our land.
