Keep on Crying

Read  Mark 10:32 through 13:37

Bartimaeus sat beside a roadside begging for the money he needed to cover his daily expenses. He was blind and likely had no other means of support, but that changed one day when he heard that Jesus was going to be passing by. Bartimaeus began yelling for Jesus to help him. Some people, perhaps embarrassed by the spectacle, urged Bartimaeus to quiet down, but instead he yelled louder. Bartimaeus refused to allow what others thought to keep him from the One who could help. Eventually, Jesus heard Bartimaeus, talked with him, and healed him (Mark 10:51,52).

Jesus has not changed. He is still able to heal, still able to save, still able to meet whatever need you may be facing. Don’t let embarrassment or anything else keep you from the One who can help. Maybe you’ve answered several altar calls for your particular need but nothing seems to have changed. Unless God has told you otherwise, continue to answer those altar calls regardless of what people may think; and one day, like Bartimaeus, you may find that God has changed everything.

CHALLENGE FOR TODAY: Resolve to continue seeking Jesus for a need that has plagued you for a long time.
