Read 2 Kings 17:1 through 18:37
Henry J. Heinz grew up loving Jesus. When he founded the Heinz Foods Company, he developed it not just for profit but to serve people. He provided free medical care and educational opportunities for his workers. He proclaimed his faith in Jesus. Even his last will and testament declared his belief. God blessed his business, and it became a multibillion-dollar company. Success followed Heinz’s hard work and desire to honor God.
The Lord was with him [Hezekiah]; he was successful in whatever he undertook. He rebelled against the king of Assyria and did not serve him (2 Kings 18:7).
Hezekiah honored the Lord as king of Israel. He destroyed the altars of false gods, and God blessed his service.
Being in right relationship with the Lord does not guarantee a billion-dollar company, but it puts the believer in position to receive blessing. God establishes His children in places where they can thrive in their work and be protected.
THOUGHT FOR TODAY: The Lord desires to grant success to the ventures He has placed in your heart.
