Read Deuteronomy 9:1 through 11:32
The Lord gives us a very short time with our children, grandchildren, and nieces and nephews. Before long, they have grown up and are on their own. God wants people to spend those brief years sharing and demonstrating His love to those youngsters and His desire to be their Lord and Savior.
Teach them to your children, talking about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up (Deuteronomy 11:19).
God wants children to know His commandments and laws to help them navigate the world around them. He wants them to see the world through His eyes. That doesn’t mean parents should pound a message into their children’s heads, but Christian parents and mentors should show their faith through their everyday lives and actions. They should pray with the younger generation and, through love, show them God gives more than the world can ever give them.
Prayer Suggestion: Lord, help me to share Your love and my faith with the children in my life today.
